SHOOTING STARS GIVES INSIDE LOOK TO UT STUDENTS
TAMPA, FL April 22, 2005 Eleven University of Tampa (UT) video production students took a tour of the Shooting Stars Post, Inc. (SSP) 8,000 square foot Tampa facility on Thursday, April 21, 2005.
The students' visit to the digital production and multimedia firm at 3106 W. North A Street was in conjunction with their video production class at UT.
This was my first time in this type of studio, said Jeremy Whited, a communications junior at UT. It was a great opportunity to experience working in a professional atmosphere like Shooting Stars.
John Samaha, president and founder of SSP, said he enjoyed the opportunity to work with aspiring video production students.
We were grateful for the opportunity to show the students what is waiting for them once they enter this demanding industry, Samaha said. Hopefully the experience helped them see all the creative options this business offers.
SSP provides the content, delivery means and expertise to enhance customer experiences. Through the use of experienced personnel, SSP can deliver excellence across all interactive media.
Vanessa Newell, a visiting assistant professor in the communications department at UT, said she organized the trip to give the students an idea of what the real world of digital production was like.
I wanted the students to see all the possibilities that were out there, Newell said.
