Tampa,
FL October 13, 2005 NFL Wide Receiver
Michael Clayton teamed up with Shooting Stars Post,
Inc. (SSP) and The Pediatric Cancer Foundation (PCF)
for a billboard and television commercial shoot at SSP's
studio on September 17, 2005 to launch "Catch for
a Cure," a fundraising promotion sponsored by Mercedes-Benz.
SSP
provided complete creative and production services for
the integrated campaign. SSP was able to establish a
distinct look and feel through the initial scripting
and storyboard process with Mercedes-Benz Corporate.
"I
wanted to achieve a sleek, modern look using a diffused
lighting effect on the new Mercedes R Class," said
President of SSP John Samaha. "This lighting effect
is a big look in today's automotive industry."
Using
SSP's in-house camera packages, lighting direction and
infinite seemless set, Samaha created the subtle yet
powerful imagery for the campaign. The television commercial,
which is currently airing, was cut in SSP's Avid Adrenaline
HD suite and finished with a 35 mm film look.
Clayton
is partnering with Mercedes-Benz Suncoast Dealers to
raise money for PCF. For every catch Clayton makes during
the season, Mercedes-Benz will make a donation to the
Foundation to help fund research and hope.
More
than a digital production firm, SSP's state-of-the-art
studios are located at 3106 W. North A St. in Tampa.
Shooting Stars offers film crews, more than 4,000 square
feet of studio space, state-of-the-art digital recording
and editing gear, and complete in-house production capabilities.
The
Pediatric Cancer Foundation is a nonprofit, Tampa-based
charity, dedicated to funding research to eliminate
childhood cancer worldwide. It was formed in 1991, when
two Tampa mothers met while their infant daughters were
undergoing cancer treatments. Their children beat the
odds and are healthy young women today.
