• Port Tampa Bay: In Record Time!

    If you live near Tampa Bay, you’ve probably seen the huge cargo ships transporting goods in and out of Port Tampa Bay. What you may not know, however, is how those ships load and unload with such efficiency. Shooting Stars Post, in partnership with the Port Tampa Bay, was tasked with capturing the dynamics of the MSC Tamara loading and unloading containers to showcase the new Post-Panamex gantry cranes in full operation. The perfect way to showcase this? Time-lapse video.

    Time-lapse cinematography is a motion picture technique by which a naturally slow process, like the blossoming of a flower or the unloading of a cargo ship, can be seen at a greatly accelerated rate. Normal cinematography reproduces movement by recording and displaying it at 24 frames per second, but in time-lapse, single frames are recorded at much greater time intervals and then viewed at the standard 24 frames per second. Therefore, speeding up a slower process that might not be viewed previously in one sitting.

    SSP used high-resolution cameras and motion control dollies at all angles throughout the day to capture the cargo ship unloading and the technology used to enable them to do so efficiently and effectively. Check out the time lapse video below, and follow us on Vimeo for more content!

  • Trains, Planes, and Ro-Ro Ships!

    Port Tampa Bay and Tampa International Airport welcomed new trains all the way from the Mitsubishi plant in Japan on June 9th. The twelve trains, delivered by a Ro-Ro, or roll-on/roll-off ship, will make up the SkyConnect people-mover shuttle system currently being built as part of a $1 billion renovation at Tampa International Airport. The shuttle system will connect a new rental car facility and the economy parking garage to the main terminal, and will be operational in early 2018. Shooting Stars Post (SSP) captured the delivery from the moment it reached the port, using drones, ground based video, and time lapse footage of the ship and its cargo to create a unique viewing experience of this historic event.

    SSP also provided video and still photography coverage of the Press Event on Monday the 17th. Governor Scott, Mayor Bob Buckhorn, TPA CEO Joe Lopano, PTB CEO Paul Anderson, and other dignitaries were in attendance to help celebrate the big event. Port Tampa Bay was happy to assist, and is proud to be a trusted partner in delivering this shuttle system to Tampa International Airport and the Bay area.

    Jimmy Buffett, king of lifestyle brands, together with Tampa based Minto Communities, has launched his latest “ Margaritaville” retirement community near Anna Maria, FL. Based on a “state of mind,” a feeling, and a no worries lifestyle, these “Margaritaville” communities encompass the latest in brand marketing trends for 2017.

    Brand values, missions, and visual projections to the public have made a shift toward a more meaningful perspective. Visual trends show that we are seekers, more meaningful consumers, and that we are making purchases that reflect our lifestyle goals, not needless accumulation.

    According to Syndacast, in 2017 as much as 74% of all internet traffic will be video content.   • Shooting Stars Post in the News

    More than 5,000 Volkswagen vehicles are parked at Port Tampa Bay due to a worldwide recall because of the emissions scandal, and ABC Action News is taking notice.

    Shooting Stars Post provided aerial drone imagery of the massive group of vehicles to Port Tampa Bay, and the video was featured on a recent news story on the WFTS network, which predicts that the Port could have major potential in the automotive trade industry because of the open space and prime location for import and export of both domestic and foreign vehicles.

    Minto Communities Florida has teamed up with Margaritaville Holdings to develop “active-adult” communities inspired by the 1977 hit. The estimated one billion dollar community, to be located off of I-95 in Daytona, will include 6,900 homes, shops, and shuttle service to a private beach club.

  • Luxury on Bayshore: The Virage Project

    The renowned and luxurious Bayshore Boulevard has a new resident, Virage – and Shooting Stars Post, Inc. (SSP) has teamed up with leading luxury marketing agency, United Landmark Associates (ULA), to create a video introducing Virage to their potential buyers.

    ULA’s vision for this video was a behind the scenes shoot with Ascentia Development Group’s, Jay Tallman and key creative team members. All key principles were interviewed by Cameron Dilley and Don Niederpruem of ULA, including architectural firm, Curts Gaines Hall Jones; Ascentia Development Group, Beasley & Henley Interior Design, and landscapers, Booth Design Group for the Virage project.

    Shooting began in Orlando, and was a full day of interviews and comraderie. Our SSP team was inspired by the creative minds of ULA’s team, and we look forward to helping ULA turn their ideas into reality in the future!

  • Florida Gators Square up Against the Iowa Hawkeyes in the Outback Bowl

    The Florida Gators and Iowa Hawkwyes will compete in the 2017 Outback Bowl on January 2nd at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa. Both teams are 8-4 with the SEC East Division Champion Gators ranked 17th in the CFP Ranking and 20th in the AP Poll, while the Hawkeyes are ranked 21st in the AP. It will be the fourth time these teams have played in more than 125 seasons!

    Shooting Stars Post created high energy :15 second and :30 second TV spots, as well as a :30 second radio spot to be aired in anticipation of this incredible match up. The spots were produced in HD using Premiere Pro, After Effects, Adobe Audition, Cinema 4D, and the talents of the Shooting Stars Team.
