Are you looking for a place to donate this holiday season? reachIT.org is a local 501(c)(3) that refurbishes unwanted or unused computers and electronics and gives them to students from families with a low socioeconomic status.
Those old computers should not go to the landfill but get new life helping students with their education.
In 2009, the EPA estimated*: – Over 5 million tons of electronics were in storage in the United States!
So clean out the garage or closet and feel good about helping students and the environment.
This past Saturday, reachIT.org had a computer give-away called Computer-palooza. They gave away 42 computers, 11 laptops and 31 desktops to eligible families!
