The 750-foot-long Ireland, one of the biggest cargo vessels to ever visit Port Tampa Bay, arrived this past Sunday on its inaugural voyage. The Ireland left a shipyard in China for a stop in Mexico’s Yucatan peninsula to pick up 64,865 short tons of limestone for delivery to Tampa, which is in high demand by the bay area’s booming construction industry.

Shooting Stars Post (SSP) captured the inaugural voyage to Port Tampa Bay using drones, ground based video, and time lapse footage of the ship and its cargo to create a unique viewing experience of this historic event. The video and stills were picked up by a majority of local news outlets.
