Saturday October 6th was The 4th Annual Combat Wounded Angler Fishing Excursion sponsored by the Tampa Bay Yacht Club and Hope for the Warriors.
The event gives wounded military warriors a day out on the water to fish and enjoy themselves with no worries of their everyday life.
John and Marilyn Samaha owners of Shooting Stars Post had the pleasure of fishing with Matthew Tennill. Matthew is enlisted in the Army and suffered multiple injuries while he was serving over in Afghanistan in 2010.
Marilyn Samaha said, “ John and I are so thankful to the men and women who protect our country everyday, it is our way of showing them we care. We look forward to this event, being able to meet new veterans each year and be a small part of their healing process.”
Plenty of snook, trout and jack were caught on Saturday and everyone had a great time!
