PCF PSA ProductionIn the United States almost 13,000 children under the age of 21 are diagnosed with cancer every year.

September is Childhood Cancer Awareness month and Shooting Stars Post teamed up with long term partner the Pediatric Cancer Foundation for a couple of TV and radio spots to help raise awareness.

The objective of Childhood Cancer Awareness Month is to put a spotlight on the types of cancer that largely affect children, their survivor stories, and most importantly – to help raise funds for research and family support.

The talent used for the production was Pediatric Cancer survivor Hannah. The PSA broadcast TV spot was shot with the Panasonic 370HPX camera in Shooting Stars studio over green screen. Additional shots were on location at Kate Jackson Park in Hyde Park where the Canon 5D Mark III was used. SSPMedia also used the Go Pro Camera to get an action shot of Hannah on the swing-set. Post production for the TV spot was done on the HD Avid Nitris DX .

“Having supported the Pediatric Cancer Foundation for many years it is always a humbling experience to work with survivors and their families. Hannah was a joy to work with in the studio, audio booth and in the field.” remarked John Samaha of Shooting Stars.

“It is always great to partner with Shooting Stars – incredibly creative and great to work with! We look forward to seeing the finished spots.”, said Nancy Crane, Executive Director of the Pediatric Cancer Foundation.

Stay tuned! The broadcast commercial will be posted soon!
