Shooting Stars Post Inc. collaborated with Port Tampa Bay to shoot some footage of their two new state-of-the-art post-Panamax cranes. The cranes, constructed and shipped all the way from China, arrived at the Port on April 1st. They replaced a pair of 42-year-old cranes, and have a reach of 160 feet, the width of 19 cargo containers. The cranes enable the Port to handle vessels up to 9000 TEU capacity, and are equipped with fiber-optic connectivity so that they can be operated by the Port’s computer system, which will run diagnostics and collect data. The SSP team used drones to get awe-inspiring footage of the new cranes as they entered the port.

Port Tampa Bay is planning an official ceremony to christen their new “Twins” on Friday July 22nd, 2016 to thank their local partners, delegates, state legislators, and our governor.
